site is compiled and managed by WADAA it is also intended to act as a
focal point for Cumbrian angling generally with fishing reports, news,

Water
A varied fishery with deep basins and shallow bays. It is a glacial lake
set in the Silurian hills of the Lake District. The lake is stocked weekly
during the season; it is perfect for pike fishing, roach fishing, coarse
fishing and trout fishing. There is a fully stocked fishing tackle shop.
During the winter not only is there some quality winter trout fishing,
but also the best pike fishing on offer in the North West of England.
The fishery record is 39lb 8oz and every winter numerous 20lb+ fish are
landed with a thirty pound plus leviathan a distinct possibility.

Excellent facilities including the fisherman’s lodge where everyone
is welcome - ideal to get together for the ‘crack’ at lunchtime.
The main lake is regularly stocked with top quality hard fighting rainbow & blues.
Browns are stocked for sport fishing. Excellent top of the water venue
with abundant fly life. Top flies to catch are buzzers and small dries
in summer. With a good sedge hatch and plenty of daddys later on. Bloodworms
being our top winter pattern.

A working trout farm which has one lake that is fly only. This is regularly
stocked with Rainbows to 14 lb and Browns to 8 lb, and a smaller bait
pond stocked with fish around a lb that is ideal for beginners and children.
Instruction is always available and we have a fly fishing school with
professional instructors for all ability levels.

and Sandhall Ponds, both these waters are located near Ulverston on the
edge of the Lake District. U.A.A. also has Knottallow Tarn a Brown Trout
