Golden
Pond
Although the best catch to date was caught by an experienced carp angler
(180lb in 12hrs on hair rigged halibut pellets) by far the most popular
method is waggler fishing the features and margins. Just keep it simple!
In spring and summer, surface fishing with mixer biscuit or crust is fantastic,
with many people taking up to 20 or more off the top in the evening. In
winter the roach fishing comes into its own, especially to pole anglers
who gradually work the swim up. Heavy groudbaiting is banned, but loose
feeding, little and often, is the ideal fish attractor.
