Loch Bhac

Loch Bhac is a small sheltered hill loch set in woodland atop the hills north of Loch Tummel. Access is via a forest track leading up from the B8010. The turn off is 8 miles from the Garry Bridge. The water is managed by Pitlochry Angling Club, which stocks the water with rainbow trout to about a pound. There are also wild brown trout.

The loch may be fished either by boat or from the bank. This is a fly only water with a 10" minimum size limit. No more than 6 fish per boat may be retained (3 for bank anglers). It fishes best with conventional brown trout tactics especially with small wet flies, nymphs, buzzers and dry flies.

Bank fishing costs £7.50 per day while boats costs £20 per day. Advance booking is recommended. There is a locked gate to the track and a key must be obtained when obtaining permits which are available from Mitchells of Pitlochry, 23 Atholl Road, Pitlochry 01796 472613.
