The Dupplin Estate offers brown trout fishing on the Foreteviot/Aberdalgie Beats (see beat map) of the River Earn. The banks are well maintained and full of life.

Fishing is by fly only using conventional fly tackle, from dawn till 1 hour after sunset from 15th March to 6th October. Trout anglers are asked to give way to salmon anglers. Chest waders and dogs are not allowed. Returns must be made to the estate office. Maximum breaking strain of 4lb. 6 fish daily limit. All fish under 10" to be returned.

Grayling fishing is available from 15th November to 15th January. from sunrise to sunset. Breast waders are prohibitted and care must be taken not to disturb redds. Fishing is by fly or float. Fixed lines and bottom fishing is not permitted. Maximum breaking strain 4lb. Fish under 10" to be returned. Returns must be made to the estate office.

Permits cost £5 per day or £30 per season. Any breach of rules will result in refusal.
