The Pools

Both banks between NN 500370 and NN569343. The following areas are excluded: Both banks at the Falls of Lochay and the Power Station Grid ref. NN 540352 - 545394 and both banks in front of Boreland House Grid ref NN 552346 - 558346. These areas are dangerous or impinge on privacy.

 

Access is via the minor road which follows the river. The fishings are extensive stretching for approximately 8 kilometers of both banks except for the few small exclusions.

 

Trout & Coarse Fishing

Trout and coarse fishing on this beat is administered by Killin AC. Fishing is from dawn until one hour fater sunset. Sunday fishing is allowed, but no night fishing. Fly only on conventional fly rod and reel. During spate conditions bait may be used on fly tackle. Adults £5/day, Juniors £2.50/day. OAP £2.50/day. Weekly tickets £25.00, £12.50 and £12.50 respectively. Up to 4 rods per day. 5 fish bag limit. Trout under 10" to be returned.

Fishing is not allowed around the power station or the Lochay Falls for obvious reasons of safety and the area in front of Boreland House is private. Please do not abuse.
