| Taymouth Angling Club was established
in 1997 to provide trout fishing to residents
of Kenmore as well as to visitors. The club has
two and a half miles of the River Tay begining
at the Kenmore Bridge and including the Kenmore
and Castle
Beats. Fishing on the Point
Beat is reserved for Full Members. Fishing is
typical of a highland river. Trout are around
the pound mark and can be prolific. There are
some better specimens in the more inaccessible
places. |

Club Rules |
A maximum of 20 rods is allowed
in total. No more than 2 anglers should fish any
pool at one time. Fishing is strictly
by fly only using a conventional fly rod
and line. No more than 4lb test line should be
used and a maximum of 3 flies. Note that the water
here is very clear, so test strengths of 2lb are
recommended. In the summer months small flies
are best. Barbless hooks are requested. |
