The River
Tay is one of the largest catchments of
any river in the United Kingdom. The Tay
also boasts the greatest flow for any British
River and is one of the "classic" salmon
waters. It rises within six miles of the
west coast of Scotland and discharges into
the North Sea via the Firth of Tay. Many
tributaries such as the Earn, Tummel and
Isla are great rivers in their own right.
