Want to add yards to your cast and catch more fish? Looking for a present for speycaster? Check this out. Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board Fishing on the River tay online booking Live news feedback and reports Tay Western Catchments Project

Its been a strange winter. More fog and rain than usual and to cap it all the first few days of February saw a return of winter with a vengence! Heavy snow (well over a foot here) fell on the 5th and 6th of February.

The snow ploughs have been out in force and the A827 is still open at time of writing, but reports from A9 tell us that the main road is shut between Perth and Dunblane. Bridge of Cally has snow drifts 20 feet deep. Drivers are being advised to stay at home unless the journey is imperative.

Its not often we get this much snow. Kids and dogs are having a ball. The village shop still has supplies, but getting the papers through has been difficult. Not many folk out on the river!
