and tackle
shops. You will find listings of accommodation

clubs, organisations
and weather.
You will also find a wealth of links for
England, the rest of Scotland
and internationally.
Atlantic
Salmon
The Tay is one of the premier
salmon rivers of Europe. It boasts the UK
record - a fish of 64lb caught by Miss Ballantyne
in 1922. Today Salmon over 30lbs are caught
on Scotland's Rivers each year, and we all
live in the hope of taking that fish of
a lifetime.
Brown
Trout
In
the spring and summer months brown trout
offer some excellent sport. Most are wild
fish in the pound range, but there are some
monsters. The loch
has produced brownies to 16lb last year
and this 14lb sea trout kelt was returned
this February.
Tuition
Plus if you are in need
of some tuition why not contact one of our
recommended fishing instructors,
guides and ghillies. Tight Lines!
Tay
Ghillies Association
Dedicated to improving
salmon stocks and encouraging tourism in
Perthshire. The ghillies are an increasingly
active group. After all their jobs depend
on it. The Association is leading the way
with fund raising for hatchery
work and the kelt reconditioning system.
Coarse
angling
If
you know where to go there is some great
coarse
fishing to be found on the system. Fly-fishing
for Pike is increasingly popular on hill
lochs and Boxing day would not be the same
without casting for grayling.
TDSFB
The Tay District Salmon Fisheries Board
is the organisation which manages fisheries
